The Australian Water Quality Centre (AWQC) was the first laboratory in Australia to offer testing to AS/NZS4020. The first products were submitted in 1992 and since that time, the laboratory has tested over 1500 products.

To extend our services, the AWQC offered to list approved products/materials in a directory to those companies that expressed an interest. The directory provides an avenue for interested parties to seek information from the listed companies, regarding products that have been tested by the AWQC and have met the requirements of the Standard. All information contained herein has been provided in good faith with no liability for inaccuracies.

Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards Scheme

The Water Efficiency Labelling and Standard (WELS) Scheme, which became mandatory from July 2006, applies national water efficiency labelling and minimum performance standards to certain water-using products. The Scheme was introduced by the Australian Government in collaboration with State and Territory governments, and applies to new clothes washing machines, dishwashers, toilet (lavatory), urinal and tap equipment and showers (flow controllers are optional).
